What Percentage of 10th Class Results can take in Medical College Admission?
Doctor is considered a noble profession and many students want to join this field after the completion of the intermediate. To take admission to the medical college the students have to fulfill the admission criteria provided by the respective educational institute. It is mandatory for the students to pass the medical entrance exam with maximum marks. The merit for the medical college is determined on the basis of marks obtained in the matric, FSc, and MDCAT. The students that do not meet the eligibility criteria cannot get admission to the medical college.
Percentage Required For Medical College Admission
The PMC after the
conduction of the intermediate annual exam starts the process of MDCAT to
determine the eligibility criteria of the students that can take admission to
the medical colleges. Soon after the conduction of the exam, the board starts
to work n the announcement of the result including the Bahawalpur Board10th Class Result. After the announcement of the result of the MDCAT
all the medical and dental colleges start the admission process. The Pakistan
Medical Council determines the merit for admission to medical colleges. As per
the PMC, the aggregate percentage for admission is as follows.
- Matriculation (SSC or Equivalent Exam) – 10%
- HSSC/F.Sc (Premedical or Equivalent Exam ) – 40%
- Entrance Test – 50%
Other Requirements
- The students applying for medical college admission
must have passed the HSSC exams from any Board of Intermediate
and Secondary Education with at least 60% marks.
- The candidates will not be eligible for admission if
have not passed the subjects of Chemistry, Biology, and
Physics/Mathematics in their matric and intermediate annual exams. So
students who intend to apply for the MDCAT must secure good marks in Matric Part 2 Result 2022 with the above-mentioned subjects. No
marks will be deducted from the students for extra attempts availed in
HSSC/FSc examination beyond the two years after passing the Matriculation
annual examination.
- There is no age limit for the candidates to appear in the medical and dental college admission test.
Admission of Candidates
- To get enrolled in the medical college the candidate
will be selected by the Provincial Admission Committee.
- The Provincial Admission Committee will make the final
decision regarding the admission.
- The Chairman Provincial Admission Committee can correct
the omission in the selection list.
- The selection of the candidates against open merit
seats will be made on Merit, Choice, and Availability of seat
- The Provincial Admission Committee may call any student
for an interview.
- The selected candidates will be issued call letters for
the interview by the concerned colleges.
- The selected candidates must deposit all original documents such as Matric, F.Sc, Domicile, at the time of interview/admission in the medical/dental college along with attested copies of these documents.
